- Select the Repair option.

How to install antivirus software in Windows XP
- First, check your antivirus status.
- This tutorial assumes that there is no antivirus software already installed.
- There are many good antivirus products available. We will use Avast Antivirus because the license for the free version allows for business or personal use.
- We will use the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser. The process will appear slightly different if you use a different web browser.
- If virus protection is not found, click: Recommendations
- Click: How?
- Scroll down to Avast.
- Click: Avast
- Scroll down to Essential.
- Below Essential, click: Download
- Click: Download Now
- Click: Run
- Click: Run
- Wait for the process to complete.
- Uncheck: Yes, install Google Chrome as my default browser
- Uncheck: Yes, install Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer
- Click: Regular Installation
