  1. Click: Start
  2. Click: Control Panel
  3. a. Click: Add or Remove Programs (if Control Panel is set to Category View)
    b. Click: Add or Remove Programs (if Control Panel is set to Classic View)

  5. Click: Change
  6. Select the Repair option.

  • There are many good antivirus products available. We will use Avast Antivirus because the license for the free version allows for business or personal use.
  • We will use the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser. The process will appear slightly different if you use a different web browser.
  1. If virus protection is not found, click: Recommendations
  2. Click: How?
  3. Scroll down to Avast.
  4. Click: Avast
  5. Scroll down to Essential.
  6. Below Essential, click: Download
  7. Click: Download Now
  8. Click: Run
  9. Click: Run
  10. Wait for the process to complete.
  11. Uncheck: Yes, install Google Chrome as my default browser
  12. Uncheck: Yes, install Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer
  13. Click: Regular Installation
  14. Click: Continue
  15. Wait for installation to complete.
